Brainspotting Trauma Therapy in person Ann Arbor, MI & Online

Find lasting peace and reconnect with your body using a brain based approach.

Bypassing the language center of our brain allows us to to access “spots” that may be holding deep emotional pain. Here is where we can foster a deep sense of focus and attunement to soften those wounds. Where we look affects how we feel is the motto of Brainspotting.

You deserve to feel grounded in your mind and body.

What is Brainspotting?

  • When we experience a harmful or traumatic event, the memory can become frozen in neural networks of the brain. This causes symptoms like anxiety, panic, hypervigilance, depression..etc

Brainspotting helps to identify, process, and release trauma stored in the brain and body.

I will guide you to focus on a specific "brainspot" in your visual field that correlates with an emotionally charged issue. By maintaining this focused gaze, you can access deeper brain regions where trauma is held, allowing your brain to unthaw and digest the memories.

This is a deeply attuned method created to have impactful and long lasting change.

  • We will briefly discuss an issue that is distressing you. It can be something current or past. You will fix your gaze on a spot we have identified that feels most activated or charged.

Then we let your brain and body get to work. We get out of the way and allow your system to heal itself. Your brain and body have the capacity to create homeostasis intuitively.
