  • I do not take insurance. I am happy to provide a superbill to submit to your insurance company for possible out of network reimbursement. I know it can be a bummer to finally find a therapist you like, only to realize they do not take insurance.

I would like to explain this a bit. Insurance companies are predatory for clients and clinicians. It is often time limited, confusing to navigate benefits, and dependent on a potential stigmatizing diagnosis. In providing a diagnosis employers, other providers, military, etc.… may have access to this information. Insurers often “claw back” thousands of dollars from therapists for minor errors in documentation or their own internal errors.

I chose to be in a helping profession because I wanted to HELP! Fighting the mess of insurance companies takes me away from you. I want to be in session with my clients. I want to be in supervision, consultation, and training to further my skills so I can be the therapist you are deserve. I have learned I cannot do both.

I hope this softens parts that may be upset with this policy. I look forward to working together outside the confines of this oppressive cistem!

  • I recommend Thrizer services. They can check your benefits, submit claims on your behalf, and pay faster than working directly with the insurance provider. You can learn more here.

Another way is to by calling the Member Services number on the back of your health insurance card.
